Folknoll's vandal resistant, BS 5839‑9 compatible, disabled refuge EVCS system offers cost‑effective solutions for shops, offices, hotels, factories and other public spaces.
The RA7810.01 is a complete control system and master station for up to 10 disabled refuge outstations. The front panel houses the master station complete with LCD status display, control buttons, built‑in speaker and microphone. The enclosure houses the controller, PSU, standby batteries and has plenty of room for the termination of fire resistant cables.
Only one compact master station with a mains supply and outstations (with cabling) are required for a complete disabled refuge EVCS.
The master station speaker volume and microphone gain are adjustable to suit the operating environment with a maximum output of 80dB for noisy areas. The operator panel can be disabled by means of a keyed switch, preventing unauthorised access and reducing nuisance calls. In an emergency, the panel can be automatically enabled by remote systems, e.g. fire alarm or BMS.
The compact system master station is designed to match standard fire panel size and quality. The enclosure is made from grey painted mild steel and is annotated in black. A refuge area label and simplified operating instructions are mounted behind windows in the front panel to aid operators.
The front panel windows can be replaced by special Folknoll control panels enabling integration with fire telephone, emergency assistance alarm and other systems.
